Paris Saint-Germain are not interested in a move for Marcus Rashford this summer, talkSPORT understands.

The French champions have been linked with the Manchester United forward since 2022 but speculation has intensified since Kylian Mbappe announced his decision to leave the club at the end of the season.

Viewed as a possible replacement for the World Cup winner, PSG were reported to be preparing a £75million offer for the 26-year-old who last year signed a new deal at Old Trafford.

However, PSG have since distanced themselves from the rumours, supported by United boss Erik ten Hag who equally poured cold water on a move away from the club.

The Dutchman outlined his intention to keep Rashford at Old Trafford in the long term during his press conference ahead of Sunday’s FA Cup quarter-final clash with Liverpool.

"We didn't re-sign him last season for four years [new contract] with the intention to sell him. No," said Ten Hag.

"He should be part of this project. It's not a subject we talk about."

Rashford has been unable to replicate last season’s blistering form which saw the forward register an impressive 30 goals as United claimed Carabao Cup success and a top four league finish.

A barren spell in front of goal has seen Rashford score just seven times in 34 games across all competitions this season but Ten Hag will be enthused by the forward’s two goals in his last two outings.

United host Liverpool with a place in the FA semi-final at stake and the pace and precision of Rashford provides the Red Devils with their best hope of getting in behind Liverpool’s defence.

"We are very good when there is space in the back of the defending line," Ten Hag told reporters. "That will be also our intention for Sunday, we will go and be brave and go forward where it's possible.

"We know when there is space in the back of their defending line we can exploit it - but we have to get to that point, to outplay them, get the balls there and that demands good strategy in the key moments."
