Erik ten Hag tells Marcus Rashford it was ‘unacceptable’ to go partying after Manchester derby defeat
Marcus Rashford has been warned over his 'unacceptable' night out by Erik ten Hag after the forward hit the town following Sunday's Manchester derby defeat.
The Red Devils were embarrassed at Old Trafford by rivals Manchester City last weekend, with Pep Guardiola's side running out easy 3-0 winners.
After another disappointing display, Rashford visited Chinawhite nightclub for a pre-arranged party to mark his 26th birthday m.
It led to some negative reaction from United fans, with the England international scoring just once from 14 games in all competitions this season.
And Ten Hag has now had his say on the matter when speaking in his press conference on Friday prior to Saturday's clash away at Fulham, live on talkSPORT.
Despite the Dutchman insisting the forward has apologised over his actions, the ex-Ajax manager refused to reveal whether the player had been fined.

Commenting on Rashford's post-derby night out, he said: "Yes, I am aware of it.
"I spoke with him about it. It's unacceptable, I told him, he apologised and that's it.“
Pressed as to whether the United academy graduate had been handed any punishment by the club, he simply stated it was an 'internal matter'.
Ten Hag then rejected any notion that Rashford, who banged in 30 goals last campaign, is not matching the standards set by him.
He remarked: "Your suggestion is not right. He's fitting in, he's very motivated to put things right.
"I know which effort he is putting in. He's totally with us.

"So, he makes a mistake, but that doesn't say he's not fitting in. I see him every day in training, what he's doing, I know.
"So, he makes one mistake but also, off the pitch, what he is doing, how he lives, and I'm sure he is doing everything right to help the team to perform and to let us win."
