The forward announced he was leaving the French capital earlier this year, and a long-mooted move to Spain is now on the cards.

He will be joining a club who are the kings of Europe once again as they beat Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in the Champions League final at Wembley.

This is the 15th time Los Blancos have won the competition, and Mbappe is going to join a forward line that already includes Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo.

Ahead of the transfer, Bellingham was asked to give his thoughts on playing with Mbappe after the final whistle on Saturday night.

Speaking to TNT Sports, Bellingham responded: "If that was to happen, it would be amazing. A player like him, it's the only little thing that maybe we're missing in terms of that clinical nine.

"If he was to come and give us that, we'd be in a really great place, and he would take us to another level. He's one of the best players in the world, clearly."

The thought of Bellingham and Mbappe playing together is quite something.

The Englishman enjoyed a sublime year in Spain after signing from Dortmund last summer. He is already a hit with the fans and has two major trophies to his name.

The 20-year-old also scored 23 goals in all competitions and provided a further 13 assists, so it's not as if he were a passenger.

Bellingham also claimed the LaLiga Player of the Season award.

Meanwhile, moving to Madrid will give Mbappe the chance to become a Champions League winner.

It's the one major club trophy that has evaded the World Cup winner's grasp, with the French giants coming close on some occasions.
