Kylian Mbappe received a message from his idol, Cristiano Ronaldo, after announcing his move to Real Madrid.
The French star was confirmed as a new signing on Monday night, arriving on free transfer and signing a five-year contract at the Santiago Bernabeu.
While speculation over a move has been swirling for months and months, Mbappe's dream of joining Real Madrid stretches back to when he was a child.
Announcing the move on his social media channels, Mbappe shared a series of pictures of him as a child wearing Real Madrid merchandise and visiting the Bernabeu.
He also shared a snap of him alongside Ronaldo, who famously played for the club for nine years between 2009 and 2018.
In that time Mbappe watched on as the Portuguese superstar scored 450 goals for the Spanish giants, something that Ronaldo said he'd be doing after the French star's arrival at the club.
