Ederson looks set to stay at Manchester City as Al Nassr have withdrawn their interest in him this summer, talkSPORT understands.

Al Nassr had an opening bid of £25million for the Brazil goalkeeper rejected by City, who are looking for a fee in excess of £30m before they consider letting Ederson go.

A counter-offer is not forthcoming, however, with the Saudi club opting to end their hopes of signing the 30-year-old in this window.

It means he's denied the chance to join former Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo, and reunite with former City teammate Aymeric Laporte.

Ederson joined City from Benfica in the summer of 2017 and has won a plethora of trophies.

That includes six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, four Carabao Cups and a Champions League.

MORE ON TRANSFERS

Ederson has played 332 games for Man City in all competitions.

His current deal expires in June 2026.

Man City extended their second choice goalkeeper Stefan Ortega's contract last month, keeping him at the club until the end of the 2025/26 season.

He impressed when stepping in for Ederson during the Brazilian's injury spells last season and he'd likely step up to being no. 1 should Ederson depart.

Ederson could still become the latest City star to switch Manchester for Saudi Arabia.

Al Nassr's Laporte was sold by City last summer in a deal worth £25.6m.

Meanwhile, Riyad Mahrez linked up with Al Nassr's rivals Al Ahli for £30m during the same window.

City are yet to make any new signings this summer but have sold a number of their young players with defender Taylor Harwood-Bellis making a £20m move to Southampton.

Liam Delap has joined newly-promoted Ipswich Town for an undisclosed fee, while fellow forward Tommy Doyle has gone to Wolves in a £4.3m deal.
