Kevin De Bruyne has not agreed terms with Al Ittihad as Saudi club eye Man City teammate Ederson

Kevin De Bruyne has not agreed terms with Saudi Arabian club Al Ittihad.

It was reported that the Manchester City icon had finalised personal terms ahead of a potential Middle East move, but talkSPORT understands a deal isn't close to happening at present.

The Belgian is a target for Saudi Arabia, however the Premier League champions would want around £100million to part with one of their greatest ever players.

De Bruyne is in the final year of his City contract and the dealmakers in Saudi are happy to wait until he's available on a free transfer next summer if needs be.

It's also understood that De Bruyne could favour a switch to Al Hilal should he make a Saudi switch as they will be the Club World Cup representatives for the Gulf nation in 2025.

Al Ittihad, who boast Karim Benzema, N'Golo Kante and Fabinho in their ranks, are also considering a bid for De Bruyne's City teammate Ederson.

The Brazilian goalkeeper was subject to interest from Cristiano Ronaldo's Al Nassr, who have since pulled out of contention to sign Ederson this summer after having a £25m bid rejected.

Any interested club will be required to pay in excess of £30m to land Ederson, who's also in the final year of his City contract, this summer.

Al Ittihad also have West Ham goalkeeper Alphonse Areola among their list of potential targets, but no formal approach has been made for him.

De Bruyne and Ederson have been key components in City's success under Pep Guardiola, with the pair being at the club for nine and seven years respectively.

Since Ederson arrived at the Etihad Stadium in 2017, he and De Bruyne have won six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, four Carabao Cups and a Champions League. They also won a Super Cup and Club World Cup last season as well as two Community Shields.

Meanwhile, Al Ittihad are expected to complete the signing of Moussa Diaby from Aston Villa next week.

talkSPORT understands a five-year deal has been agreed for the French forward, who is primed for his medical with the 2022/23 Saudi Pro League champions.

It's understood Diaby will join Al Ittihad in a package expected to be approaching £60m.

Villa have been very busy in the transfer window having made seven signings, including left-back Ian Maatsen from Chelsea and Hull star Jaden Philogene.

The Villans are preparing for Champions League football next season having finished fourth in last season's Premier League.
