Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel looks poised to stay on at the Allianz Arena beyond the summer in a dramatic U-turn, talkSPORT understands.
It was announced in February that the German was due to stand down in Bavaria at the end of the season following poor results.
But having guided the club to the Champions League semi-final - where they lost to Real Madrid - he now looks set to remain at the club.
His agent Olaf Meinking was at the club's training ground earlier on Wednesday where all parties were in discussion about Tuchel staying on.
The news will come as a huge blow to Manchester United, who had eyed up the ex-Chelsea boss as an option should current manager Erik ten Hag be relieved of his duties.
Tuchel was believed to have been keen on succeeding the Dutchman at Old Trafford should the opportunity arise.

Club chiefs had been scrambling to find a replacement for Tuchel, with Bayern quoted £86million from Crystal Palace to prise Oliver Glasner away from Selhurst Park.
Xabi Alonso also rejected Bayern's advances to stay at Bayer Leverkusen, while Julian Nagelsmann shunned a return to pen a new deal with the German national team.
And ex-United interim Ralf Rangnick recently ruled himself out of the running to remain with Austria.
Bayern have endured a frustrating season under Tuchel's tutelage - despite Harry Kane banging in 44 goals in all competitions.
Should they better Stuttgart's result in the final German league match this weekend, they will finish as runners-up to Leverkusen.

They were also dumped out of the DFB-Pokal in the second round to third-tier outfit Saarbrucken.
Incredibly, this is Bayern's first trophyless season since the 2011/12 campaign, where Borussia Dortmund scooped the league and cup double.
