‘That’s a little embarrassing’ – Justin Thomas shanks ball near Royal Troon beach in nightmare start to The Open final round
Justin Thomas’ first tee shot on the final day of The Open has been branded as a ‘little embarrassing’.
The ball landed 35-yards out of bounds, landing near the beach next to Royal Troon.
As Thomas watched his ball take flight, he soon turned his back and sagged his shoulders in disappointment.
“Bunkers in play up the left and it’s not the start that you want,” Sky Sports commentator Andrew Coltart said.
“Give me another ball please. That’s a little embarrassing.”
The cameras then showed Thomas walking back to his caddie to indeed collect another ball.
