Bet of the Day
GAIS to win at 13/10
GAIS and AIK are separated by just two points in Sweden’s Allsvenskan and home advantage could be key when these two sides meet on Monday.
Both go into the game in poor form as GAIS are winless in three and AIK have lost five of their last seven, but the hosts have been far better at their Gamla Ullevi base in Gothenburg
GAIS sat seventh in the standings going into this round of games but they have the fifth-best home record in the division, with five wins and just one defeat after seven games in front of their own fans.
AIK have picked up a paltry five points from their seven away games so far and only relegation contenders Vasteras have a worse road record. The Stockholm club claimed a first win on their travels at Halmstad last time out, but GAIS have been close to perfect at home aside from defeat to Brommapojkarna in their first game of the season at this venue and they should be able to claim the spoils.
Longshot of the day
FC Copenhagen to win 4-0 at 18/1
FC Copenhagen begin the new season with a trip to Lyngby on Monday and they will be looking to hit the ground running after narrowly missing out on the Danish title last season.
Byens Hold won 4-0 when these sides last met in March with a thoroughly dominant display and they have won by two or more goals in three of the last four meetings.
An early strike could set the tone here if Copenhagen are able to make a fast start and the 18/1 on a 4-0 away win, a general ‘easing off’ point when teams are in a commanding position, has a chance.
Special of the day
Landskrona to win and both teams to score at 10/3
Landskrona lead the way in Sweden’s Superettan as they head to relegation contenders Varberg on Monday.
The visitors are on a five-game winning streak and they should have far too much for their hosts, who have lost seven and won just four of their 14 games, but a clean sheet may be beyond Landskrona.
The Swedish second-tier pacesetters have conceded six goals across their last two games despite winning both of them and they’ve managed only two shutouts in six attempts on their travels.
Varberg have scored 12 goals in seven home games and have drawn a blank at this venue in only one of their last eight games across all competitions, so the Bet Boost price on an away win with goals at both ends appeals.
