Patrick Mahomes as his quarterback and Taylor Swift as his girlfriend.

But while Kelce is focused on a historic three-peat with Kansas City as NFL training camps begin for the 2024 season, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid is already dreaming up a new life path for his superstar tight end.

Reid was recently asked about the impact of having Swift constantly around the Chiefs and Kelce dating one of the biggest names on the planet.

It's a lot for anyone to handle, especially when Kelce is expected to catch touchdown after touchdown from Mahomes in high-pressure games.

As always, Big Red played it cool -- and had some fun with one of the Chiefs' best players.

"He can handle it," Reid said on Scoop City. "I think there's a great escape for him. I said that about Taylor. too

"I mean, she comes to the game she can kind of escape having to be the show. And when he goes to her concerts, she's the star."

Kelce has come a long way since his Cincinnati days, when he ran into trouble and almost didn't make the pros.

In recent years, the 34-year-old tight end has diversified his life away from the field, doing everything from TV commercials and hosting Saturday Night Live to following Swift around the globe on her stadium-sized Eras tour.

Reid believes that Swift has been a good influence on Kelce, who sometimes indulges in his frat boy/party rock side.

So good that the Chiefs coach joked he can envision a new career for Kelce.

"He can ... be the support or the water boy," Reid said.

Few NFL head coaches would have the confidence to declare that a nine-time Pro Bowler making almost $20 million a year could be a "water boy" for a pop music star.

But Reid, Kelce and the Chiefs are built different, and Big Red proved it again by playfully toying with a future Hall of Famer.

Kansas City will begin its quest for a three-peat on September 5 when the Chiefs host Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens to kick off the new NFL season.
