The Dallas Mavericks added Klay Thompson in the hope of pushing Luka Doncic to an NBA championship.
The Golden State Warriors won four world titles with the Splash Brothers, and NBA fans still can't believe how many points Thompson scored in a single quarter.
"Best to ever do it?" one fan tweeted.
"For those records that will never be broken, put this on the list," a second fan posted.
"I remember watching this game at a Buffalo Wild Wings," a third fan wrote.
Thompson, who on Monday signed a three-year contract for $50 million with the Mavericks, unleashed a performance for the ages when the Warriors were first on the rise on January 23, 2015.

The No. 11 overall pick of the 2011 NBA Draft scored 37 points in 12 minutes, setting a league record that hasn't been touched since.
“I was just trying to shoot until I miss,” Thompson said. “Honestly, I took like four heat checks, but they just kept going in.”
They surely did.
Steph Curry's teammate took 13 shots and made them all.
Even better, Thompson was a surreal 9-of-9 on 3-pointers in the 12-minute span.
As shot after shot kept going in, the Splash Brother kept receiving the ball and pouring in more points.

"I was in the arena that night," a fan tweeted. "Incredible to witness!!!"
"Was watching it LIVE!" a second fan posted. "THEN I WAS SO HYPE I COULDN'T SLEEP AFTER! LOL."
Thompson, who was 24 at the time, started the game 3-of-9 from the floor in the first half.
He emerged from the break playing basketball in a different universe.
Thompson smiled and showed his tongue as the basket swayed and the Warriors kept rolling up points.
He scored 37 of the Golden State's 41 points in the period.
During the final 3 minutes and 3 seconds, Thompson outscored Sacramento 18-3 by himself.
“I don’t know what to tell you," he said. "I just got into a zone and it was the best zone I’ve ever been in."
The Warriors beat the Kings 126-101, then went on to to beat LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals.
Three more world titles followed for Thompson, Curry and Golden State's dynasty.

The Mavericks are hoping that Thompson can find his magic touch again next season.
Dallas reached the Finals last year, but Doncic was worn down when they needed him most, Kyrie Irving was inconsistent and Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown were able to guide Boston to a record 18th NBA title.
