The Dream Team completely changed the way basketball was viewed across the world.
For the longest time, NBA players weren't allowed to participate in the Olympics, but that all changed in 1989 when FIBA removed the rule.
The first USA Olympics team consisting of NBA players formed in 1992 and remains one of the greatest sports teams ever assembled.
The star-studded squad - nicknamed the Dream Team - was a who's who of NBA legends and Hall of Famers, including Michael Jordan, Larry Bird and Magic Johnson.
Unsurprisingly, they were undefeated en route to the gold medal that summer, scoring more than 100 points in every game (averaging 117.3 points per game) and winning by an average margin of 44 points.
They were so relentless, in fact, that head coach Chuck Daly didn't call a single timeout throughout the entire tournament.

The former Detroit Pistons head coach reportedly told Magic Johnson that a group that supremely talented shouldn't have to call timeouts, and he was right.
They cruised to the gold medal without breaking a sweat or calling a break in play.
Current Team USA head coach Steve Kerr highlighted that astounding stat when discussing the similarities between the Dream Team and his own squad heading to Paris in a few weeks for the 2024 Olympics.
Like the '92 team, the current Team USA features a whole host of NBA icons including LeBron James, Steph Curry and Kevin Durant.
"I think from the standpoint of career achievement, this team is probably as decorated as any since the '92 Dream Team," Kerr told a room of reporters, including talkSPORT.
"The difference is in 1992, the world wasn't anywhere close to as good as it is now in terms of basketball popularity and globalization of the game."

"Chuck Daly, the coach of the 1992 team, never took a timeout," he went on. "That USA team was never threatened."
The Dream Team won all eight games in '92 at a canter, with the smallest margin of victory (32 points) coming in the gold medal game against Croatia.
Charles Barkley, who elbowed an Angola player in the first game of the tournament, was the top scorer for Team USA, averaging 18 points per game.
Michael Jordan started in every game and averaged 14.9 points per game while the likes of Barkley, Bird, Scottie Pippen, Chris Mullin, David Robinson, Patrick Ewing, and Karl Malone rotated in the other starting spots.
Kerr, who was speaking in a press conference before Team USA's upcoming training camp in Las Vegas and exhibition games at the 02 in London (July 20 and 22), will be hoping his team can emulate the Dream Team's achievements from over 30 years ago.
However, the quality of competition in the form of France's Victor Wembanyama and Serbia's Nikola Jokic, among others, is testament to the rest of the world's growing basketball strength and means the Dream Team's timeout feat is unlikely to be seen again.
The big talking point ahead of the global event in the French capital is LeBron James and Steph Curry sharing a Team USA hardwood for the very first time.
The greatest shooter of all time has never played in the Olympics while The King last graced the international stage in London in 2012.
"I just expect them to be what they are: Two of the greatest players that ever touched a basketball," Indiana Pacers and Team USA star Tyrese Haliburton exclusively told talkSPORT.
Kerr, Curry's Golden State Warriors coach, expects the same from his two biggest names.
"They're really excited to compete together for the first time," Kerr said. "To find over the course of the practices and the friendlies, to find some of the nuances that they can really exploit and explore, to just to see where they can have an impact for each other.
"I've talked to both of them about this idea of being together after going against one another with such high stakes over the years.
"They obviously fit really well together. I think the idea of Steph playing off the ball and LeBron pushing it in transition, that's pretty intriguing. And obviously Steph will play on the ball, as well, and LeBron has become such a good shooter."
"They're both really, really excited about about the idea of competing together."
